This modern kitchen design project may seem too "delicate" at first glance. In fact, the well-chosen materials helped to create extremely durable kitchen furniture that is ready for active everyday use.
The Fundermax worktops are worth mentioning, as their high quality has been proven over the years and hundreds of projects in private kitchens, large food courts and gourmet restaurants. These surfaces are able to withstand heavy loads, frequent friction, cleaning and direct contact with water without changing their appearance at all.
For this pastel-colored project, we chose a worktop in light decor 0565 FH. This surface perfectly emphasized the beauty of the shades and became a laconic addition to the project. This decor has a subtle pattern that takes on new shapes in different lighting conditions. However, in general, the unobtrusive pattern goes well with other elements.
The kitchen facades are made of milled MDF in blue and pink colors. The furniture handles, lamps and built-in appliances are mostly black, which became a kind of design accents.
Given that the craftsmen did not have the entire space of the room at their disposal, but only a part of it, since the room serves as both a kitchen and a living room, it was decided to abandon the usual dining table. Instead, a comfortable bar counter was implemented here, which also plays the role of a kind of separation between the two zones. In general, the U-shaped kitchen looks perfect and completely autonomous.
It should be noted that the bar counter has a multifunctional purpose. It can be used both as a dining area and as a space for work or relaxation with a book. In addition, it is also an additional space for culinary experiments. And to make the cooking area even more comfortable, the craftsmen prepared a sink cover. It is made of HPL in the same decor as the worktop, so the surface of the work area looks like a solid array. By the way, this lid can be safely used as a cutting board. Given the resistance of HPL to damage, this element will have a very long service life. And, of course, HPL Fundermax is a hygienic material and is allowed to come into direct contact with food.
