Fire, Green Paint, and Haute Cuisine: The Premiere of TECHLAM Countertops at BUDZIRKA SPACE

On July 1, PROSTIR BUDZIRKA once again brought together leading Ukrainian designers, architects, and furniture makers under one roof. The occasion for this large-scale gathering was a long-awaited premiere—the presentation of TECHLAM by Levantina’s large-format porcelain stoneware countertops.

A highlight of the event was a live connection with Spain. A special guest, Leticia, a representative of the Techlam manufacturing plant, joined online to share firsthand insights into the brand’s innovations. Next, Valentina Labunets, head of the furniture division at BUDZIRKA, took the floor. She provided guests with a detailed overview of the range of decor options currently in stock in Ukraine.

Vadym Kayuk, a practicing expert and founder of Love Stone, shared his real-world experience with processing large-format stone. Guests had the opportunity to receive expert answers to all their technical questions, based on his daily experience working with the material.

Ruthless Crash Tests: Did the Porcelain Stone Tiles Hold Up?

To test TECHLAM’s durability under real-world conditions, we conducted a real-life stain test. We applied iodine, green antiseptic solution, beet juice, and a permanent marker directly to the countertop and left them for 20 minutes. The result amazed everyone present: all stains were easily removed with ordinary cleaning products, leaving no trace behind.

The real highlight was the experiment with an open flame. The porcelain stoneware withstood contact with the flame flawlessly. To prove the surface’s absolute hygiene and safety, immediately after the fire test, we prepared salmon tartare right on that same countertop and served it to anyone who wanted some. It is precisely these real-world demonstrations that best confirm the material’s unquestionable quality.

At the end of the presentation, all participants received branded samples of BUDZIRKA porcelain stoneware to update the displays in their own showrooms.
