Creating bathroom projects is both interesting and not an easy task, given the peculiarities of this space. However, when real masters take up the work, and their arsenal of materials includes HPL Fundermax, the work turns into a real whirlpool of creativity. This is exactly what happened in this wonderful bathroom project by MEBLENS.
This project has several features at once. First of all, there are no cabinets. The fact is that this furniture was created for a guest bathroom, so there was no need to create additional storage space.
Secondly, here we see quite voluminous shelf designs – conditional «stone blocks» made of HPL Fundermax. But how is this possible if the thickness of Fundermax worktops is 12 mm? It's very simple: to obtain the desired thickness, 45° cuts are made at the edges of the structural elements, and then these parts are connected to each other, forming a 90° angle. In this way, structures of any required thickness can be created.
It is worth noting that HPL in B428 decor from the Enduro collection with imitation of the stone surface has become the perfect complement to the wooden shades on the walls and floor, creating a kind of wildlife corner.
But a question may arise – if such a filigree imitation of stone texture was created for the project, couldn't natural material have been used? Of course, it would have been possible. But the choice of HPL Fundermax is due to a number of its significant advantages over other materials.
First, this material is much lighter than stone blocks. This is an important nuance, given that the shelves are mounted on hinged structures.
Secondly, the process of processing and installing HPL is also much easier than working with natural material. The surface of HPL will not chip either during the cutting process or during operation, when, for example, a bulky object falls on the countertop.
Thirdly, Fundermax countertops have a long service life and do not lose their shape and appearance, even with regular contact with water and detergents. In addition, these surfaces do not require specific care or expensive products. A damp cloth and soap are enough to clean them.
Therefore, choosing HPL Fundermax to create modern bathroom projects is the right decision!
